Bequest of Wilhelm Wundt

Wilhelm Wundt (1832–1920) was one of the most important German scholars of the 19th and early 20th centuries. His bequest is located in the University Archives of Leipzig. The entire bequest was cataloged and digitized in the Kalliope catalog.

With the founding of the world’s first institute for experimental psychology, Wilhelm Wundt established a teaching and research institution in Leipzig that contributed significantly to the high reputation of German science worldwide. The bequest of Wilhelm Wundt documents this lasting impression in all its breadth. Through the cataloging of the bequest and a comprehensive digitization effort, this significant source of scientific history from the decades around 1900 is now available to research without geographical restrictions.
