UPDATE 21 September: Library branches reopen after evacuation measures

Yesterday (20. September 2022) during excavation work at the construction site opposite the Dimitroffstraße police headquarters near Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz a World War II bomb was found.

University library locations also had to be closed due to evacuation measures. The affected branches Bibliotheca Albertina, Campus Library, Library of Area Studies, Library of Musicology, Library of Archaeology, Prehistory and Ancient History, and Law Library – Law I and II are open again regularly after successful defusing of the World War II bomb as of today, 21 September 2022.
